This year we are offering a training course, from September 2011 thru June 2012. The lectures, Language, and Cultural components will be conducted at the Hillside Montessori School in Silverado Canyon. The rest of the course will be held at the Discovery World Montessori School in Diamond Bar. By popular request, this fall we are again offering a weekend only schedule for the Diamond Bar course. All classes in the academic phase will be covered by attending just two weekends per month, allowing more flexibility to students with jobs and young children.

The International Association of Progressive Montessori (IAPM) is a worldwide organization founded in London by Angela Martin in 1962. Angela passed the baton to Ann Balasuriya in 1993. Representing the “Progressive – Traditionalists” among Montessorians, IAPM is committed to preserving Authentic Montessori for posterity, yet recognizes that Dr. Montessori was the most progressive thinker in the field of education in her time. We have accepted her challenge to follow the lead of the child, and remain open to the most advanced research available in the fields of philosophy, psychology, and educational theory today. IAPM affiliates Teacher Training Centers and Montessori Schools, offers a Trainers Certification course, and approves appropriate didactic and curriculum materials.
